The time of the Māori new year, Matariki, is here. Matariki is the time to come together with whānau and reflect on what has happened within the past year, it is a time of remembering those that have past on and time to begin again. During this time the stars of Matariki can seen in the sky. There a 7 different stars, 6 daughters and a mother.
Each day a name or two of the stars will be put in the notices. At interval and Lunch time you will see the Head Student Team wondering around with lollies. Come up and tell us the name of a star or a fact about matariki and get some lollies!
Today's star is MEREOPE.
Epro8 Engineering competition
Epro8 is coming to KC! The EPro8 Challenge is a competition, an engineering and problem solving race. It is a 1 day event in which you will compete in teams to complete engineering challenges. Art work missing from A2
A painting was taken out of A2. It had been taken down from the A block corridor and put on a wooden drying shelf to be returned to a student. The painting is distinctive as it is an alien face exquisitely painted. The student who painted it is anxious to take it home as it took her many hours. PLEASE RETURN IT TO THE PLACE YOU FOUND IT! ( no questions asked.....)
BCITO BIG Tour
Those that are signed up to the BCITO BIG Construction Tour on Thursday please check your email as I have sent you some information that you need.
The tour is on today. If you haven't already heard, clothing is black and white. Please be changed before we leave (if you haven't already). Come to the music Block now. Don't forget your music or your stand.
Lip Sync Battle This Wednesday Night
LIP SYNC BATTLE is this Wednesday (28th) in the Hall at 7pm. This is not worth missing as we will have teacher contestants; Mr Wills and Colette, Craig from the Canteen, Mr Lainchbury and many more exciting acts. They will battle against our students in a lip syncing battle.
