Yoga with Lizzy is on again this week! This time, in the Film-making room. The first session was free, but please bring a $2 coin from now on. Save lunch eating until after the class. Wear comfy clothing (try to get changed during form time, once the roll's been taken - if ok with your teacher).
Sports Office (Fri 15 Sep)
Sausage Sizzle this Friday lunch outside the sports office to support some students fundraising to go on Performing Arts Tour. Sausages are $2 each, and there will also be baking so bring extra coins to support our talented students.
Sports Office (Tue 12 Sep)
Service Council will be painting a mural as part of Maori language week outside the sports office on Wednesday lunch. This will be a school wide event so feel free to join in!" There is also another mural painting today - see previous note.
Students with dyslexia
C8 Wednesday lunchtime (Wed 30 Aug - lunctime)
Reminder to all our students with dyslexia - competition to redesign Speld New Zealand's logo. Speld have asked our creative students to come up with a new and fresh design. There will be prizes for the top design/s. The winning design will have national recognition
The specs for the new logo are:
1 use the same colour palate of orange and blue
2 the logo should be in caps SPELD NZ (if incorporated into the logo, but is not essential)
3 abstract designs are fine (does not have to represent a dyslexic person reading)

3-hour film competition
Film Room (Wed 13 Sep - Lunch)
3-hour film Comp - Friday after school. Plan, shoot and edit a 1-minute film in 3 hours. Get a team together. Meeting Wednesday lunchtime in the film studio to discuss. If you have done this before, you can just let Mr. Woodhouse know that you want to participate.
Māori Language Week
Wednesday: Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Māori language week is here! Today's kiwaha is: Ka Mau te wehi! That's outstanding Ka (car) Mau (like toe) te (for teacher) wehi (where (is) he) At interval or lunch tell one of the Head Student Team the kiwaha of the day or some Māori you know and get some lollies!

PE UNIFORMS ON MUFTI DAYS
A reminder, as per all mufti days, that all junior PE classes are expected to be in correct PE uniform today, NOT mufti gear. All senior practical PE classes must have a change of gear - you are not permitted to participate in the clothes you are wearing for mufti day. Thanks.
